Summary
“Jack Reacher is the coolest continuing series character now on
offer.”—Stephen King, in Entertainment Weekly
There’s deadly trouble in the corn country of Nebraska . . . and
Jack Reacher walks right into it. First he falls foul of the Duncans, a local clan that has terrified an entire county into submission. But it’s the unsolved, decades-old case of a missing child that Reacher
can’t let go.
The Duncans want Reacher gone—and it’s not just past secrets they’re trying to hide. For as dangerous as the Duncans are, they’re just the
bottom of a criminal food chain stretching halfway around the world. For Reacher, it would have made much more sense to put some distance between himself and the hard-core trouble that’s bearing down on him. For
Reacher, that was also impossible.

I have mixed feelings upon finishing this latest Lee Child novel. Slipping into the world of Jack Reacher (lots of violence and very little angst) is comforting and familiar. Child has a formula going in many of his books and for the most part, it works pretty well. Jack Reacher comes into a smal...more... (Posted on 2/14/11)

After the dramatic ending of 61 Hours I thought we'd pick up where we left off, but that just wasn't to be. Child has been experimenting recently with his style and this book had things that worked and things that didn't. Overall, this is a Reacher novel and those are good, if not always great.

Don't tell Marieke Hardy or Tony Martin but Jack Reacher novels are a guilty pleasure of mine. They're formulaic of course but I do enjoy the odd novel where the no-goodniks get their just desserts & their kneecaps smashed into the bargain. Nothing unusual about this one except that for once Reacher...more... (Posted on 12/20/10)

Much much much better than his last, 61 hours. There were a few things that I didn't like about it, however. I love Jack Reacher but he's starting to become superhuman. In one chapter, Child will be giving thoughts and motivations of the bad guys, in the next chapter, Reacher will just figure out...more... (Posted on 12/15/10)

Lee Child's Jack Reacher series is really, really, good. Reacher is both tough and smart. However, this time he's more tough than smart, which is okay, but the mystery looming in the background (the type of cargo coming to the bad guys) is so obvious that as a reader, I felt my intelligence was be...more... (Posted on 12/11/10)

Great book. I have slowly become a fan of the Jack Reacher series. This was the best of the lot I have read. I finished it two days. I just found myself ripping through this book. Jack Reacher just left some trouble in South Dakota and is now in Nebraska. Where, surprise, he finds more trouble....more... (Posted on 12/5/10)

Can’t imagine any more plaudits that could possibly be heaped upon the always excellent Dick Hill. He has been named both a Golden Voice and a Voice of the Century by AudioFile magazine, and is a three time winner of the Audie Award. It goes without saying that he’s in great demand not ...more... (Posted on 11/19/10)

REVIEWS OF UNUSUAL SIZE!

**Re** Jack Reacher - wanderer, former military police investigator, total bad-ass. Happens to wander into situations that need correcting the way Jessica Fletcher wanders into dead bodies. This time around, the fifteenth installment, Reacher takes on a wife beater ...more... (Posted on 11/10/10)

I get the feeling like I’m the last person to know; I bought this book still thinking that it would be a shocking resolution to the cliff hanger ending of the previous 61 Hours.
